It all started with a dream of entrepreneurship and a passion for creating.

Hey, Liza here — founder of Media by J. My marketing journey began in college, when I was referred to a job opening in my university’s recreation department: Social Media Producer + Videographer. I was over the moon when I landed the job, and spent the next year and a half learning everything I could while promoting university programs.

I left this position to take a marketing role at a beloved local jewelry store — in 3 months I was promoted to Social Media Manager. Through applying everything I had learned and a lot of trial and error, I cultivated an engaged community that converted to loyal customers.

Fast forward to early 2024, it was time to figure out what to do with that fancy bachelor’s degree. I had been browsing LinkedIn and saving corporate job postings for weeks, if not months, when it hit me: this isn’t what I want to do with my life. That fancy corporate job wasn’t my dream, it was someone else’s. My dream job? To combine my creativity and passion for authentic connections with my entrepreneurial spirit (and toss in some strategy) — within days, Media by J was born.

Now here we are, two business owners with a dream. Through strategic social media management, quality content creation, and maybe some iced coffee — we can work together to organically scale your business. I'll take care of the socials, you run your business. It’s the dream team if you ask me.
